Photographic images by the first Marin County Farm Advisor, M.B. Boissevain, a skilled and prolific large-format film photographer, and Art Rogers, who has been photographing the agricultural community on the North Coast since the early 1970’s reveal Marin’s agrarian roots, offering an intimate look at what life was like for Marin ranchers and farmers from the 1920’s to the present.
"These initial proposals (PDF, 7.2 MB) are a comprehensive set of policy solutions aimed at improving the viability and longevity of smaller-scale family farms for generations to come. About 86 percent of all farms in the United States are small family farms."
